Pradīparatnōjjvalakuṇḍalāyai sphuranmahāpannagabhūṣaṇāya |

Etatpaṭhedaṣṭakamiṣṭadaṁ yo bhaktyā sa mān'yo bhuvi dīrghajīvī |
Prāpnōti saubhāgyamanantakālaṁ bhūyātsadā tasya samastasid'dhiḥ ||
Shri Ardhanarishwara Stotram was composed by Sri Adi Shankara bhagavatpada. These verses beautifully describe the divine form of Lord Ardhanarishwara, where half of His form is that of Goddess Parvati, symbolizing the union of male and female energies, and the other half is Lord Shiva.
