2024 The groundbreaking ceremony, or bhumi pujan, to initiate the construction of the Ram Mandir, took place on August 5, 2020, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating the ceremony. The ongoing construction of the temple is being overseen by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The temple's inauguration is set for January 22, 2024.
