Ayodhya Ram Temple Museum: From the History of Ram Lalla to the Valor of Hanuman; Set for Completion by September 2026

Ayodhya, February 19, 2026: Alongside the magnificent Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, devotees are set to receive another grand gift. A state-of-the-art, international-standard museum is rapidly taking shape within the temple complex, with a target to open for the public by September 2026. This museum is not merely an exhibition center but a living experience of Indian culture, history, and the epic saga of Lord Ram.

1. 20 Galleries and a Dedicated 'Hanuman Gallery'

Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, stated that the museum will house a total of 20 galleries. these will depict every aspect of history, ranging from the Ramayana era to the construction of the current temple. The crown jewel of these attractions will be the dedicated 'Hanuman Gallery,' being developed by an expert team from IIT Madras.

  • The Experience: This gallery will utilize cutting-edge 3D and 7D technology, allowing visitors to experience the pivotal episodes of Lord Hanuman's life—his devotion, strength, and valor. Scenes ranging from the Lanka Dahan (burning of Lanka) to the bringing of the Sanjeevani herb will be brought to life vividly.

2. Objective and Significance of the Museum

The primary goal of this museum is to introduce the new generation to the ideals of Lord Ram, the values of the Ramayana, and the glorious history of Ayodhya.
