Barsana (Feb 25): Here, the 'Huriyare' (men) from Nandgaon arrive, and the 'Huriyarins' (women) of Barsana shower them with sticks (Lathis). The men protect themselves using shields.
Nandgaon (Feb 26): The following day, the men from Barsana go to Nandgaon, where the women of Nandgaon shower them with love and sticks.
Timings: While the main event in Barsana starts after 2:00 PM, it is mandatory to reach there by 8:00 AM due to the massive crowds. The administration closes vehicle entry after 9:00 AM.
Registration: Unlike the Char Dham Yatra, there is no registration fee here. However, given the heavy influx, the administration has divided the security into 7 zones and 18 sectors.
What to Wear: Wear white cotton clothes and protect your mobile phones/cameras with waterproof plastic covers.
