1 cup basmati rice
2 teaspoons raisins
8-10 black peppercorns
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons desi ghee
Green chillies as per taste
Salt to taste
First wash the rice well and spread it on a cotton cloth for 15 minutes.
Put rice in a vessel and mix it in half a teaspoon of salt, garam masala and turmeric and one spoon of desi ghee and cover it for half an hour.
Put two spoons of desi ghee in a pan and fry cashew nuts, almonds and raisins in it and now add cumin, bay leaves, cloves, black pepper and fry it. Now add rice mixed with it.
After putting the rice in the pan, fry it for at least 5 minutes, after that add 2,1 / 2 bowl of water in it and take salt as per taste in it. We have already added green chillies, cinnamon powder and pepper powder to the rice. Fried nuts and sugar will cover the rice and we have to cook the rice on medium flame for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes we will remove the lid and see that our rice is ready. We will leave the gas closed for 2 minutes and keep the rice covered by the lid.
