New Delhi, January 24, 2026: The national capital is fully decked out to welcome India’s 77th Republic Day. Ahead of the main event, the 'Bharat Parv 2026' celebrations have commenced in front of the ramparts of the historic Red Fort, offering a vibrant glimpse of India's diverse cultural fabric in one place.
Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, this festival will formally run from January 26 to January 31, though the pre-event enthusiasm is already palpable today.
Key Attractions: Visitors can enjoy a Pan-India Food Court featuring regional delicacies, a Handicraft and Handloom Bazaar, and a preview of state tableaux.
Entry and Timings: Entry is completely free for the public. The primary attractions include the Red Fort illuminated with spectacular lights in the evening and soul-stirring performances by military bands.
Digital Power: A special 'Digital India' pavilion has been set up this year to showcase India's rapid technological advancements.
The themes for this year's parade are deeply significant: 'Mantra of Freedom – Vande Mataram' and 'Mantra of Prosperity – Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India).
Chief Guests: The parade will host António Costa, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, as the Chief Guests.
30 Tableaux: A total of 30 tableaux will roll down Kartavya Path, featuring 17 States/Union Territories and 13 Central Ministries.
Uttar Pradesh: Showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Bundelkhand region.
Punjab: Dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
Odisha: Highlighting technological prowess with the theme 'Soil to Silicon'.
Battle Array: The Indian Army will debut a 'Phased Battle Array' format, offering a modern and unique display of military might.
Parade Timing: The parade is scheduled to begin at 09:30 AM.
