Shriparvata Shakti Peeth, This place is one of the famous religious places of Hindus. Shriparvata Shaktipeeth is located in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, the state of India. This temple is dedicated to Mata Durga and the name of this temple comes in ancient Siddhpith. This temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Maa Shakti. Shakti is worshiped as Goddess ‘Sundari’ in this temple and Bhairav ​​is worshiped as ‘Sunderananda’.

There is a difference in relation to the original place of this Shaktipeeth. The Kali Mandir situated in Leh district of Ladakh region is worshiped by locals as a Shaktipeeth. It is believed that this temple is about 800 years old. There is a huge statue of Goddess Kali in this temple.

According to mythology, Devi Sati gave her life by jumping into the fire of Havan organised by her father King Daksheshwara. When Lord Shiva was running around the earth carrying her body then Lord Vishnu divided the body in 51 parts using his Sudarshan chakra. Out of those 51 parts, from which the right anklet of Sati fell to this place.

All the festivals are celebrated in Shri Parvati Shaktipeeth, especially in the festival of Durga Puja and Navaratri special puja is organized. On this day, the temple is decorated with flowers and lights. The spiritual atmosphere of the temple provides peace to the heart and mind of the devotees.
