Purnima Tithi comes at the end of Shukla Paksha in every month according to the Hindu calendar. This date symbolizes the fullness of the moon, when the moon appears in full size. Purnima day is considered extremely auspicious and holy from religious and spiritual point of view. Fasting, worship, charity and religious rituals have special significance on this day.
Purnima is associated with the Moon God and Goddess Lakshmi. Apart from this, this date is also important for the worship of Lord Vishnu, Shiva and Satyanarayana Bhagwan.

It is the night when the moon is fully visible. The full moon night comes after every 30 days, it can be said that the full moon comes once a month. The decreasing and increasing side of the moon is called two types: Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha.
