The Child form of Lord Hanuman is known as Balaji. The temple of Balaji Maharaj in Mehandipur is particularly famous in the northern part of India. One of the reasons for Mehandipur Balaji being famous is that those who are suffering from dark magic and evil spirits can get rid of them here.

It is believed that Lord Hanuman came into the dream of one of his devotees and told him about this place and asked the devotee to worship here and to cure people suffering from diseases and evil spirits, but because of the dense forest Unable to locate the correct location. Later, he started worshiping Lord Hanuman in the form of Balaji and after many days, Lord Hanuman again appeared in the devotee's dream and showed the path to reach that place. Since then priests and people started worshiping in the Mehndipur Balaji temple and people started coming to this temple for treatment.

It is also said that Preet Raj and Lord Bhairav ??were also present in this area on the Arvalli hills. Lord Hanuman requested Lord Preeti Raj and Bhairav ??to stay at this place and to give them freedom from the evil spirits and diseases.
