Importance of Kamda Saptami Vrat and Worship 2026

Kamda Saptami Vrat Hinduism has a different importance. Kamda Saptami Vrat has special significance in astrology. Kamda Saptami Vrat is completely dedicated to the sun. In the scriptures, this fast has been considered special to fulfillment. This faster to fulfill the wishes is fast throughout the year. This fast is done to each Shukla Saptami and every four months should be passed in every four months.

It is believed that by doing this fast, health, wealth, child and reputation are received. Brahma ji had told the glory and importance of Kamda Vrat Lord Vishnu.

Importance of Kamda Saptami

According to astrology, the person's life depends on his birth horoscope. In the person's horoscope, there is a lot of problems and wealth etc. in their life. Kamda Saptami gives rid of all these troubles. By fasting Kamda Saptami, the sun is strong in the person's horoscope and there is a positive energy in life.

Kamda Saptami Vrat Method

On Shashthi, after having one meal, fasting on Saptami, Sun God is worshiped with the mantra “Khakholkay Namah” and on Ashtami, leaves of ark like Tulsi Dal are consumed. After taking bath in the morning, Sun God is worshiped and the whole day the God is remembered with the mantra “Surya Namah”. After taking bath on Ashtami, Havan is worshiped to Sun God. Today, after worshiping the Sun God, ghee, jaggery etc. are donated and on the next day, there is a tradition of worshiping the Brahmins and feeding them kheer.
