This verse is from Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 15. It is written in Sanskrit and translated into Hindi as:
na māṁ duṣhkṛitino mūḍhāḥ prapadyante narādhamāḥ
māyayāpahṛita-jñānā āsuraṁ bhāvam āśhritāḥ ||15||
"Four kinds of people do not surrender unto Me - Those who are sinners, fools, and of evil nature, whose knowledge is veiled by Maya, and who are of demonic nature—they do not take refuge in me."
Lord Krishna is telling a bitter but important truth here—why some people are not attracted to Him. These are the people who repeatedly engage in wrong deeds, whose conscience is clouded by Maya and who are full of ego, anti-God and selfish thinking. This also makes us examine ourselves: Do we also sometimes get entangled in our own ego, bad habits and the attitude of “I know everything” and fail to hear the call of the Lord? If yes, then this is the first step to get free from Maya—to know yourself.
