This verse is from Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 7. It is written in Sanskrit and translated into Hindi as:
mattaḥ parataraṁ nānyat kiñchid asti dhanañjaya
mayi sarvam idaṁ protaṁ sūtre maṇi-gaṇā iva ||7||
"O Dhananjaya (Arjuna)! There is no ultimate truth except me. This entire universe is woven into me, like a garland of gems is strung on a thread."
In this verse, Lord Krishna reveals the beautiful secret of His true nature.
He says —
"Arjuna! I am the basic thread of this entire creation. Just as beautiful beads of a garland are held together by a thread, similarly this entire universe is held together by Me."
We often see the various forms of this world — humans, animals, trees, rivers, mountains — as separate.
But the Lord reminds us that the invisible basis of all these is the same Supreme Being — that very Sri Krishna.
Just as a thread holds the beads together without being seen,
In the same way, the Lord is at the root of every particle, every life, every emotion —
Invisible but omnipresent.
On knowing this, a deep sense of unity and love awakens within us —
God is in all, all are in God.
In short:
Lord Shri Krishna is the invisible thread that connects every form, every living being, every event of this universe together.
There is nothing beyond Him, everything lies within Him.
