Chhinnamasta Temple is a Hindu pilgrimage located in the Rajrappa of Jharkhand's Ramgarh district, India. The main goddess of this temple is Chinnamastik, which is a form of Mother Parvati. Chhinnamast is also called Chinnamastik. The second name of Chinnamastika is also known as 'Prachand Chandika'. This temple is worshiped the mother goddess which is without head. This temple is located at the confluence of Bhairavi-Bhadra and Damodar River in Rajrappa. The temple is surrounded by the forest, this reason of that the beauty of the temple is increased. In addition to the Chinnamastik temple, there are seven temples in the name of Mahakali Temple, Surya Mandir, Ten Mahavidya Mandir, Babadham Temple, Bajrangbali Mandir, Shankar Temple and Virat Roop Mandir.

The idol of Goddess in the temple can be easily identified due to their scary symbolism. Mother's throat is impressed by the serum and Mundal. The mother is nakedness position, open hair, the tongue out and decorated with the jewelery. Self-decisive goddess have in one hand own cuted head and other hand sword. Three streams of blood are coming out from their neck, in which one stream is bleeding drunk by own head, the other two streams are drunk by  'Dakini' and 'Shakini' two of them standing in front of them.

It is believed that the temple was built almost 6 thousand years ago. This temple has been constructed according to architecture. The craft of its circular dome meets the art of 'Kamakhya temple' of Assam. There is only one gate in the temple. The main entrance to the temple is east. The sacrificial place is in the temple, where the goat is sacrificed daily. There is also Mundran Kund. There is also a kund to destroy sins here; those diseased devotees get relief from their diseases.

Thousands of years ago, the demons kept terror on the earth. Because of which human beings started remembering Mata Shakti. Then Parvati Mata took the form of her 'Chinnamastik'.

Then Mother Chinnamastik started killing the monsters and demons with Kharag. Even the hunger and thirst was not taken care of, just wanted to destroy the sinners. Mother had done her tremendous form. Besides the sinners, they also began to kill innocent people. Then all the gods were terrified by the enormous power and went to Lord Shiva and started praying with Shiva that the mother should stop the vicious form of Chinnamastika, otherwise the earth will be in turmoil.

Upon hearing the prayers of Gods, Lord Shiva came to Chinnamastika. Seeing Lord Shiva, Mother Chinnamastika said, 'O Nath! I'm hungry. How can I lose my hunger? 'Lord Shiva said that' You are the Goddess of the whole universe. You are a power yourself. Then Lord Shiva told the remedy that if you cut your neck with the Kharag and drink 'Shonit' (blood) then your appetite will disappear. Then the mother Chinnamastika, after listening to Shiva, immediately cut his neck with the Kharag and took the head in the left hand. With the neck and head separated, three streams of blood came out from the neck, which were left-right 'dakini' - 'shakini'. Two streams went into the mouth of both of them, and in the middle, the third stream went to the mother's face, the mother became satiated.

All the festivals are celebrated in Chinnamastik temple, especially in the festival of Durga Puja and Navaratri special puja is organized. On this day, the temple is decorated with flowers and lights. The spiritual atmosphere of the temple provides peace to the heart and mind of the devotees. On the occasion of Navratri, devotees from many states including Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh come here to visit the mother.
