  • The best time to visit ISKCON is during the winter months between November and March as the summers tend to get extremely hot in Vrindavan. ISKCON is also renowned for its Holi celebrations during February/March.

ISKCON temple, a Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his brother Balram. Krishna Balram Mandir is another name of the temple. The temple is located at Bhaktivedanta Swami marg, Raman Reti, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1975 by the philosopher and founder of ISCKON, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada under his supervision. The temple is believed to be located at the exact place where Lord Krishna played with other children some 5000 years ago. He along with his  brother would herd their Cows at Raman Reti near Yamuna River.

ISKCON temple is made up of white marbles. Walls of the temple beautifully describes Lord Krishna’s paintings and teachings that depicts his personal life. There are many popular temples of Lord Krishna in Vrindavan but in ISCKON temple people don’t just came here to pray but also to meditate and study the holy text Bhagavad Gita which makes it different from all. The temple is filled with devotees, especially foreign tourist. Lord Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated grandly every year. Foreign tourist participated more in spiritual knowledge and enlightenment than Indians. Vedic  knowledge translation in English also available here.

Iskcon  temple has three altars. The Divine brothers, Sri Krishna and Balram are worshipped on the center altar. After the demise of Swami Prabhupada, his Samadhi is in the front of the temple. He set up ISKCON Organisation in 1996 in New York. This organization is solely based on the traditional Hindu beliefs of Bhagavad Gita. Iskcon Institution is wholly dedicated to Lord Krishna.  The environment is very pious that leads devotees to paradise. Lord Krishna evening Aarti (Prayer) is very popular. The popular song “Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare” is collectively sung by Priest and the devotees and traditional clothes are still holding by the people. Religious books, jewelry  and traditional clothes sell within the premises.
