Shailputri is the first of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. That's why Shailputri Devi is called Durga as the first incarnation or the first Durga. Shailputri means daughter of the hills. She was named 'Shailputri' because of her birth as a daughter in the house of the mountain king Himalaya. Shailputri Devi is worshiped and worshiped on the first day of the festival of Navratri. In the worship of this first day, the yogis establish their mind in the 'Mooladhara' chakra. This is where his yoga practice begins.
Shailputri Mataji has a trident in her right hand and a lotus flower in her left hand. In her previous birth, she was born as the daughter of Prajapati Daksha, then her name was 'Sati'.
