Bhagavad Gita Chapter 7, Verse 11

This verse is from Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 7, Verse 11. It is written in Sanskrit and translated into Hindi as:

balaṁ balavatāṁ chāhaṁ kāma-rāga-vivarjitam
dharmāviruddho bhūteṣhu kāmo ’smi bharatarṣhabha ||11||

English translation:

"O Arjuna! I am that power which comes from within, which is not filled with greed or lust, but with truth and self-control. And when any desire is also within the limits of Dharma – like doing good to someone, then that too is me."

Detailed explanation:

In this verse, the Lord reminds us that the real power is that which is free from greed and lust. When our desires are also based on truth, service and Dharma – then they are no longer mere desires, they become the inspiration of the Lord. God himself resides in such power and such resolve.
