Kunjapuri Devi Temple is a Hindu ancient temple situated in Hindolakhal road, Adli, Uttarakhand, India. The temple of Kunjapuri Devi is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths. The temple is located 25 kilometers away from Rishikesh. Kunjapuri Devi Temple also completes the triangle of three Shakti Peethas located in the district of Garhwal. There are three Shakti peethas - Kunj Puri, Surkanda Devi and Chandrabhedi. The temple is situated at an altitude of 1,676 meters above sea level. The temple is dedicated to one of the 13th most important Goddess of the Shivalik hills. The temple is providing a beautiful view of sunrise and sunset.

Can be reached the Kunjapuri Devi Temple by the stairs from the road, total steps is 80. Kunjpuri Devi Temple is situated above a hill and is a beautiful temple complex. Kunjpuri Devi Temple has a vast view of the shadowy mountains and peaks like the vast heaven like Rohini, Gangotri, Banderpanch and Chalankha.

According to mythology, Goddess Sati had sacrificed her life in the yagna kund which organized by her father Daksheshwar, then Lord Shankar Devi was churning the whole universe with the dead body of Sati. In the meantime, Lord Vishnu performed the body of Sati with his Sudarshan Chakra Was divided into 51 parts, in which Sati's chest fell on this place; hence the temple is called the Shri Surkanda Devi Temple. These places are called Shakti Peeth, in the place where the Sati's body parts fell.

Many festivals are celebrated in Kunjapuri Devi Temple. On the occasion of Durga Puja and Navratra, a special Puja is organized. The temple is decorated with flowers and light. The temple's spiritual environment gives peace of mind and heart to the devotees.
